E9H Week 10: Monday Emily Koke Period 5

We began the class by discussing our plan for the week (we are having a work day on Wednesday for LoF/LWG/Othello essay, the outline is this link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pqrnF8-D8aZ6hnvmMSgyVQUWBX6XljsA2Esc7Teo41o/edit ). The fishbowl is being moved to Thursday. Then we typed into our computers "classroom.google.com" where Smith let us pick our class theme (it is space). After that we all clicked "I'm a student" and then entered the class code (4elv2p3). This will allow Smith to post reminders and other things that are relevant to her class.

We then went over this weeks SAT vocab which is lesson seven. This week we must memorize the word, part of speech, definition, and synonym. Exercises 1-3, 4, and improving paragraphs activity is what is required as homework.

After we went over the vocab we began our fishbowl discussion for chapter 6-11. This discussion brought us to the end of class. The next fishbowl will be on Thursday and will be over chapters 12-17.

Our homework is as followed: Read and annotate Long Way Gone 12-14, 5 questions over 12-17, higher level thinking questions/connections to Othello and LoF, SAT 7 vocab exercises 1-3, 4, and improving paragraphs.
